Places like World Market are a great place to visit, especially for culinary finds. They have the best selection of chocolates and candies from all over the world! I found this "tin of sardines" there. Actually, as you probably already guessed, they're chocolate. But I think they look nice enough to leave out all the time, especially when put on an interesting porcelain plate. Instant sculptural appeal, and more importantly, instant craving killer!
