Artist Line Vautrin

Line Vautrin was born in Paris and before the age of 21, and with the inheritence of a foundry from her father, had already established her own business in 1933. She worked in bronze, but eventually invented a new resin called Talosel. She was proficient in gilding, engraving and began to work in mixed-medias. Her metal creations included brooches, pendants, rings, boxes and wall mirrors. She was known to even engrave little poems into the jewelry. She married a fellow artist Jacques-Armand Bonnaud and together their careers flourished enough to the point where she had 50 workers producing her creations. Vautrin left France to go to Morocco, and when she returned home, she was more popular than before.

I like how her pieces are obviously inspired from the ancient times, but they seem to be super modern still.

Isn't she lovely? I love her style...
