Leather makes it way in the stores this season as a big part of Fall Fashion. I've even seen motorcycle jackets back on the scene! Leather skirts, dresses, shirts, jackets and tall boots are all over the runway and the magazines. I borrowed my friend's leather pants for a party this past spring. It had been over 10 years since I had worn leather pants (and back then they were maternity leather pants. Yes, they were super cool). Leather has become super-sophisticated, just look at some of these pieces....
Loewe Fall 2009 Ready to Wear
The Spanish Fashion house Loewe is back ... and what a return! The fall show's looks are incredible. Look at this outfit!! I remember being in Madrid in the late 1980's and seeing a Loewe boutique in our hotel. Everything was made with supple suedes and the softest leather. I didn't know the brand, but I did know that it felt luxurious.

By the way, J.Crew has some fantastic looking grey knee-high socks as well as some fishnet ankle socks. I am going to get both and wear them. I think it is a fun update, but I will probably wear mine with longer skirts than these above.

This look to me above looks completely comfortable and chic. Who doesn't love a big cashmere cardigan? And when worn with slim soft leather pants, it gives the sweater an edge. Love this.

An updated tan trench. What a great idea, to do it short and in leather. You can tell that this is soft, and though I would never wear it with a silk charmeuse skirt, it shows how this jacket can be ultra-feminine.
