She was glorified by flemish painters in the 15th century, showing off her hair-dress that made for quite a cone-like appearance. The women, as seen by flemish portrait artists, look stern - almost cold. The actress Tilda Swinton posed for a magazine shoot in what looks like an almost identical style of hair accessory to what the 15th century flemish woman wore. What I think is interesting is they call the spread Future Fashion. Maybe the future is a direct re-interpretation of the past. I don't know... I think they all look a little frightening.
