I really like how this bombe' chest reminds me of Sailor's Valentines or Scamp Art. It is so pretty. It's one of those things I look at and say "I bet I could do that myself. Use all the shells from our vacations, and buy a chest at a garage sale and hot glue them on myself "... then I look at the pile on my desk, my messy pantry, and my overflowing junk closet and push that thought far out of my mind. Snap! Back to reality.
I want to get a Kindle, (or Barnes & Noble's new Nook) but it's one of those things that I have a hard time going out and justifying spending that kind of money on me, especially on something like an electronic reader. My good friend has one and she LOVES it. I think I may give it to my husband as his Christmas present this year. His pile of books keep getting taller and taller on his night-stand.
I totally dig this white Fuji "polaroid" type camera. I know digital is so much easier, but wouldn't this be fun to pull out at parties? You can leave it out on a table and let guests take home pictures of themselves from your party. (image: cashonandcompany.blogspot.com)
