Awhile back, I posted a
piece about The Joule Hotel in Dallas,
shown on the left, with their cool pool that jets out over Main Street. I have been at that pool and also on the street underneath it. It is such a great piece of modern architecture to me. So of course I was thrilled to also see the house above, which is listed on the Austin MLS, that has a similar feature.
This Contemporary home is set over Lake Austin and was designed by the renowned architectural firm of
Andersson-Wise. It was completed in 2009 by an Austin certified green builder, and is set on a cliff's edge, resting on steel frames embedded in the slope. This dramatic pool also has a "beach" area,
(right) spa, and an 83 foot lap lane with one transparent end that juts out into open air over the lake
(above). How cool is that? The rest of the house isn't too shabby either!
