...Is to always keep out fresh pistachios. I'm not alone in doing this, as I know that my mom, and my girlfriends Deanna & Cindy also do the same thing. It's a great, handy snack. I like to keep a smaller bowl inside the bigger bowl for the shells. The best pistachio's I ever had were some I smuggled back in my backpack from Greece. They have a reddish appearance, and a saltier taste. But now, I buy the big bag at Costco so I always have them handy. Try it. You'll be surprised how many of your guests will nibble on it all night long.
