Although I have been to Italy, I was not able to make it to the city of Venice. I regret that I didn't make time for this, as I have always wanted to go!! The fact that hundreds of years ago they were able to build a city on the water just fascinates me. So here's my top reasons I want to visit this historic city. This Baroque violin has gut strings, a short fingerboard and a neck angled back only slightly from the body, which produces a louder, more brilliant tone. When I was 28 I decided to take up the violin. I took lessons for about 1 ½ years, in the Suzuki School/Method. I was not naturally blessed, I'll put it that way. My instructor somewhat alluded to the Man-Hands episode on Seinfeld when I was playing....So that was the end of that.
The Museum of Music near the Renaissance Scuola Grande di San Rocco Art Museum, where you can see an exhibit about violin making and learn about the life of Antonio Vivaldi.
