English Architect's Model, Solid Mahogny, c.1920. From: Philip Colleck, Ltd.
I totally dig these small models of stairs, I think years ago I saw one in a chic home library and ever since I have liked them. Of course Bill Blass, who had incredible taste, had a collection of them as well. So I thought I'd share some images of stairs, itty-bitty ones first, then on to the big mommas below. And they get crazy!
French Architect's Model, Double Spiral in Mahogany, c.1930's. From: Flair
I took this photo while I was at one of my favourite Dallas stores, Quatrine. They looked good grouped together, don't they? Goes to show that this doesn't only look good in a traditional, library environment, they can also look fresh and modern.
