These cherubs are sweet, and perhaps a little too "sweet" for my personal taste, but once it hits that lucite base, it gives it an edge that I LOVE! It makes it current, it makes it sparkle, it makes it important! Love it!

You can put anything on these bases, and they don't have to be lucite, then can be glass too. I put some custom lamps of glass risers from Wisteria for a client, shown at right. Not only did it give my lamp the extra height it needed, it updated the gilt and made it modern. Sometimes glass is less expensive than lucite too! For Wisteria's, go here.

Look at how amazing these candlesticks look now! Especially grouped just as is. I always get the best ideas just by visiting great antique stores. Especially Antonio's Bella Casa, where each vignette is superbly put together.

More bases on lamps, but this one finished the look by using a round acrylic finial. It makes even a traditional pleated shade look contemporary. *sigh....These are a few of my favorite things! If you want to order some acrylic bases, Custom Creative Plastics, Display Case Art, and Acrylic Innovations are my go-to sites.
