Celebrity Apprentice: Lace: THEN, NOW, AND LATER

If there was one thing I noticed that was all over the Spring 2010 runway, it was Lace. I am glad, as I feel it never fell out of fashion. It is, and has always been, the ultimate in femininity. I think certain things are classics, and I hold on to these and wear them for years (my own pieces over 25 years sometimes, and my purchased vintage pieces are up to 70 years old. Best way to buy quality fashion and not spend a lot of money: buy vintage). I have a white lace jacket that I paid $25 for, that is from the 1940's. It is short sleeved with a peplum and very sweet. It looks great belted. I re-discovered belts 2 years ago, after being "anti-belts" for a decade. I also have black lace skirts and dresses that I love to wear in the fall. But I was so excited to see it so big for the Spring! White lace even!

I love this concept. When I see sheer shirts on the runway I always think it's so impractical. A lace turtleneck? What a great idea to put it under a little black dress! A great way to update your wardrobe and layer and make the dress unique and your own.
