YELLOW, PLEASE... Bring Me Some Sunshine NOW.

Designed by Nicholas J. Velloney (1941-2003)
from Showcase of Interior Design, eastern edition

This striking entry was designed by the late Nicholas J. Velloney, who was one of Cleveland's foremost interior designers. Upon his death, he left his entire estate to the Cleveland Museum of Art. I love how vibrant this room is, with the black porcelain lamps and red fabric of the chairs popping against the bright yellow hand-painted paper. But it is also extremely sophisticated and cheerful.

Lucy

Speaking of cheerful, this is my sweet little bird Lucy who likes to walk around my feet as I do the dishes and take walks on my shoulder down the block in the neighborhood. She is a Lutino Lineated ("linnie") Parakeet, that has been tamed. She has red eyes and a disco ball in her cage.

This is a beautiful fashion photograph taken in the 1955 in France, by Mark Shaw. The model, posing in a Paris courtyard, is wearing a silk chiffon Chanel gown. This shot was taken when Shaw was on assignment for LIFE Magazine, but this was never intended for publication. It is currently available through Svenska Mobler, LA, who has exclusive rights with the Mark Shaw Photographic Archives. This picture speaks of the epitome of Parisian Glamour.
