Pierre Sterlé

Pierre Sterlé is a jeweler extraordinaire. Born in 1905, he grew up in the beginning of the Art Deco period in France. Until 1939, Sterlé made jewelry for Boucheron, Chaumet and others. He became to be on of the most elite and sought after couture jewelers, designing for Kings and Leaders around the world. Here are a few of his designs. If they are this incredible in pictures, I can only imagine what they must look like in person. I like him especially because he appears to be a bird lover like me. Notice all the "feathers" in his pieces!

A Parrot Brooch featuring yellow and gold diamonds, lapis and coral. France, circa 1963. The sketch by Sterlé for this piece is shown below. Pretty amazing.
