Mary's Mirror

Ever since reading the DaVinci Code a few years back, I have been really intrigued by Mary Magdalene. Growing up in the Anglican Church, I had heard of her and knew of her, but it wasn't until that book with all the speculation that put her importance, no matter the controversy, center-stage for me. She WAS important.... And I found this video (among other's which I love) very interesting. There is music so turn on your speaker. If you're an Art History buff, you'll really enjoy. Mary Magdalene through the ages in paintings.... It's slightly spooky, but I love the different master's renditions of her beautiful face.

Compilation of Artworks by several Artists - de La Tour, Tizian, Ivanov, Ribera, Benson, di Cosimo, Crivelli, Bloch, Bouguereau....... Basic painting - "The Penitent Magdalene" by Georges de La Tour .....

Georges de La Tour (March 13, 1593, Vic-sur-Seille, Moselle January 30, 1652, Lunéville) was a painter, who spent most of his working life in the Duchy of Lorraine, which became part of France the year before his death. He painted mostly religious scenes lit by candlelight, and after centuries of posthumous obscurity became one of the most highly regarded of French 17th century artists in the 21th century.......
