The following is from the Boston residence of interior designer Charles Spada. Charles made a high-rise condo overlooking Boston Harbor into a welcoming refuge. Spada prefers absence of color to his interiors, but if he has to choose a color, he prefers a neutral grey. The cool grey-blue of the walls I bet echo the chill of the sea outside.
He also thinks natural light is very important. I cannot imagine this room with out that gold-leaf star cocktail table! I like how Spada collects 18th & 19th century sanguine drawings. It really is a classical room, but there is a fresh sort of sophistication to it. Simple & Perfect.
