My current Watch List seems to have a 1960's - 1970's theme to it, and I didn't even realize it until I compiled them here.
I love the fact that Paris Hotel Boutique sends an email whenever they post new listings in their incredible on-line store. I, as well as my mother, have both purchased many things over the years from Lynn and I think she has such unusual quality things, and for reasonable prices. These chairs above just caught my eye. It's one of the kinds of things I put on my Dream Watch List. Most of the things on my Dream List are from Paris Hotel Boutique!!
Yet I still have it on my watch list. at $139.00 for a 47" diameter vintage rug, I think it is a good deal, plus it has the option to make an offer to the dealer. I find that if you usually offer no more than 40% less than the asking price, you have a good chance of negotiation or acceptance. I usually offer 30% off unless I think it is WAY overpriced. This one is well priced in my opinion, so I think $115 is a good offer? What do you think?
If you know me by know, you know how I love me some greek key....

A double roll of this paper is 33 feet long and 20.5" wide and covers about 50 square feet. At $35.00 a double roll, with the option of having a sample mailed to you, I think it is the best deal in town! Same seller offers the paper below too:
At $39.99 for a double bolt, this amount would cover about 50 square feet, allowing for matching and trimming. And because it's vinyl, this would be great in a bathroom or bar! If the sample looks as good as this picture, I'm sold.
JONATHAN ADLER: BARGELLO FLAME PILLOW
A 20x20" pillow, hand embroidered with long stitches, feather/down insert and velvet reverse. $145.00
I have loved the flame stitch since the 1970's when I was a kid, as I remember my grandmother having a pillow like this in their house. And I think my mom started needlepointing a purse in this pattern, is that right mom?
This vintage 1970's silk scarf square speaks to me, probably because growing up in Dallas, the home to Neiman Marcus, you know that the butterfly was the store's symbol long ago. And for some reason, I have been in the Scarf buying mode. Mostly vintage, but some new cotton ones as well, all but one purchased on eBay. And how weird was it that the day after I purchased my first one at an Antique Mall, that I go to my sweet friend's blog La Dolfina, and see the BEST post on how to wear them! I knew there were many ways, but this is a handy and beautiful visual guide worth printing and saving if you wear them yourself. Go here to read it.
